Lula Calls for Brazilian Infrastructure Expansion

President Lula da Silva has called for Brazil to increase its debt as a way to spur “economic growth,” saying specifically that loans should be used to fund infrastructure projects such as dams, railroads and telecommunications. It’s good to keep in mind that even “leftist” governments often support the same infrastructure expansion as the US , and for much the same reasons.
