Public Meetings on I-70 Truck-Only Lanes in Missouri

The Missouri Department of Transportation is hosting a series of public meetings to “share information” about its plans for a study on the environmental impacts of building truck-only lanes for I-70, as per the state’s Corridors of the Future grant. The meetings are in “open house” format, so people can arrive and leave at any time. The schedule is:
• Wed., April 2: Warrenton, Mo.; 4:30 to 7 p.m.; Warren County Outreach & Extension Center; 107 W. Walton
• Thur., April 3: Columbia, Mo.; 4:30 to 7 p.m.; ARC; 1701 W. Ash
• Wed., April 9: Concordia, Mo.; 4:30 to 7 p.m.; Concordia Community Center; 802 S. Gordon St.
The I-70 Corridors of the Future includes funding to study the possibility of adding four truck-only lanes to the highway from the Interstate 435 beltway on the eastern part of Kansas City, MOto the Ohio/West Virginia border near Bridgeport, OH/Wheeling, WV.
