trafficThe federal government has cleared the state of South Carolina to move forward with plans to build I-73 from Hamlet, N.C., to the Grand Strand/Myrtle Beach area. The environmental review process took place in only 39 months, compared to the usual 50-60, indication the Federal Highway Administration’s ongoing commitment to rush the approval of trade-related infrastructure, as per the Corridors of the Future program.

According to Wikipedia, I-73 is intended “to run from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, to Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, but only the part south from Huntington, West Virginia, is currently under study.”
