Join Rainforest Action Network (RAN), Greenpeace, Rising Tide, Mountain Justice, Student Environmental Action Coalition, Coal River Mountain Watch, Ohio Valley Environmental Coalition, Southern Energy Network and others for days of action against the coal industry and its financiers, especially Bank of America and Citi.

The four demands being made are:

· No new coal plants
· An end to mountaintop removal
· Stop financing the coal industry
· Invest in green [sic] jobs and clean [sic] and just [sic] energy!

Obviously, as Root Force we have our concerns about that last demand, particularly as it tends to be framed these days. Ultimately, of course, your actions and messaging are your own, but you should keep the Day of Action’s demands in mind when deciding whether to register your action with RAN (as they encourage) or claim it as part of their event.
