Eight people were arrested yesterday protesting the construction of a US-101 highway bypass around the town of Willits, California. This morning, California Highway Patrol officers raided a protest encampment and arrested seven more people for blocking the construction site.
In addition to the treesit that has been in place since January 28, two more were set up earlier in the week. As of now, all three are still in place and protesters vow to continue the fight to stop the Willits Bypass.
